WHAT IS THE APPROACH?
Incredible Me!
The Incredible Me! system supports the wellbeing of pupils within school. Our system looks at how the brain develops from birth and throughout the primary years. With this knowledge we can support ‘gaps’ in pupils brain development and ensure that each child’s needs are being met at right time developmental stages when in school. This allows schools to offer an alternative form of intervention to support the wellbeing and behaviour of pupils. With this approach in place, schools will find a dramatic reduction in behavioural issues as they will have a better understanding of why a child is behaving in such a way to communicate their needs.
Incredible Me! is an approach that supports and meets the needs of every child. It begins with an assessment system that targets the needs of pupils, as individuals, who need it most. The approaches then progresses for group and whole class support. This will allow for an embedded approach that supports the whole school. As we offer this support to our pupils, we will find that they become more emotionally resilient and this will support them in becoming better learners.
To develop the Incredible Me! approach, much research of neuroscience has been carried out. Linking this to statutory PSHE guidance and the support of professionals means that our system is robust, meets the needs of staff in school and has many links to make teaching the curriculum easier.
